Performing Arts
Performing Arts is a vibrant part of life at Saltwater.
Through Music, Drama and Dance, students learn skills, create, collaborate, and perform.
From classroom learning to productions and major performances, students have opportunities to find their voice, build confidence, take creative risks, and experience the excitement of performing for an audience.
Music
Saltwater College Primary Music program provides students with opportunities to explore, create and perform music in a supportive and engaging environment.
Students develop their musical skills through singing, playing instruments, basic composing, and listening to a diverse range of musical styles. Through collaborative music-making, they build confidence, creativity and a strong sense of belonging.
Students also have opportunities to showcase their learning and talents through performances, assemblies, concerts and special musical events throughout the year.
Drama
Our Prep-6 drama program gives every student an opportunity to experience drama, create, and perform. We explore imagination, characters, and storytelling through drama and as they move through the year levels, students build their voice, movement, and expression to discover how drama connects to stories and culture.
Along the way, we aim to develop confidence, teamwork, and creative thinking along with real-world communication skills like reading an audience, using tone and body language, and working together as an ensemble.

We'd like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, meet, educate and communicate. In particular, the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land, and pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We are truly grateful for this opportunity to share information with our community.
